"I'm excited to endorse Darcy for State Representative, and I'm pleased to see such a consistent and reliable progressive leader running for this office," said Angus McQuilken, a Democratic candidate for Congress in the 6th CD in 2020, and the co-founder of the Young Democrats of Massachusetts.  "Darcy's experience in municipal government also differentiates her from the other candidates in this race, and will serve her well in navigating the policymaking process in the House of Representatives."

"Darcy and I have worked together for nearly three years as Selectwomen for Hamilton. She is a trusted colleague who constantly demonstrates sound principles of fairness, honesty, and transparency. She is diligent in her work, carefully researching issues to assure sound decisions in the best interest of the citizens and the Town. She has worked on critical issues including  preserving our water resources, protecting our environment, school funding sources, sustainable development, and strategizing to avert 2 1/2% overrides. Her prior position on our Town Finance and Advisory Committee provides her an invaluable understanding of State funding resources including grants.
Darcy is a committed and a passionate advocate who will always stand up for traditional democratic principles, and she will work hard for the citizens of the 4th Essex District."

Darcy Dale Endorsement

Endorsement of Darcy Dale for Massachusetts 4th Essex District House of Representatives:

I am pleased to offer my endorsement of Darcy Dale’s candidacy for the Mass. 4th District House of
Representatives, filling the seat recently vacated by Brad Hill. I have interacted with Darcy for years on issues impacting our mutual home town of Hamilton. In her role as a member of the Finance and Advisory Committee and subsequently in her role as a member of the Selectboard, she is always prepared to address the important issues with a background of research and well thought out opinions. She is an intelligent and fair minded representative of the people. Darcy has identified, and is committed to addressing, the important issues facing out town and the 4th Essex District. She is focused on our water resource issues as driven by the over-stressed Ipswich River, the challenges related to funding our schools without constantly exceeding Proposition 21/2 levy limits, the need for more rapid sustainable energy development, and the use of regionalized services to meet the needs of our towns in a cost effective way. These are the important issues we must address in the near future and Darcy is prepared to address them.

"In my dealings with Darcy Dale over the years as a member of various Town Committees, I have found her to be a conscientious citizen in her official dealings. She arrives prepared to discuss whatever subject is on the agenda. She has taken the time to investigate the background of the issue and form an opinion with facts to back it up. This is not to say she won’t listen to those with contrary views and take them into account. She has paid her dues at the town level in politics with service on the Finance and Advisory Committee and as a member of the Select Board. I have always found her to be a fair practitioner of our form of open government. She has my unqualified endorsement to represent Hamilton and this North Shore District in the Great and General Court as an able successor to Brad Hill."
